This course is a “Ready Golf” course and as such is designed for all players to play only 1 ball per paid green fee. A person observed in violation of this basic golf etiquette by playing more than 1 ball may be escorted from the course without a refund.

- No more than 2 power carts are allowed per 4-some.
- Always put clubs and carts to the “tee side” of the green.
- Keep carts on cart paths on all par 3 holes.
- There is a “trail fee” charged for all modes of golfer transport brought onto Oregon City Golf Course. (Personal power cart, Finn, golf boards, golf scooters, and so on.)
Divot/Ball Mark Repair:
- Replace all divots; repair all ball marks on the greens; repair all sand bunkers and remind others to do the same.
- On all tees, divots should be replaced immediately, especially on the short holes where iron divots are taken.
- Taking divots on practice shots is unnecessary and should be avoided.
- Fairway divots should be replaced at once and pressed down properly.
- Pitch marks on the greens should be repaired by loosening up and leveling off the impacted hole prior to putting out.
On the Green:
- Do not practice approaching, chipping to, or putting on regular greens. There is a practice green provided free of charge for this activity.
- Do not stand or step within 18 inches of the hole while holding the flag or retrieving your ball.
- Likewise, do not use your putter to retrieve your ball from the cup. It is poor golf etiquette; and is likely to result in damage to the cup, leaving a fellow golfer with a destroyed edge.
- Line up your putt before your turn.
- Move off the green promptly when holed out.
- Enter your score when on the next tee.
Speed of Play: Play Ready Golf
- Forget the Honor System. Whoever gets to the tee, hits first.
- Keep up with the group ahead.
- Make every effort to adhere to the hole-by-hole “target times” indicated on the scorecard. 9-holes – 2:02 hours / 18-holes – 4:05 hours.
- To catch up quickly- As soon as the first person in the group has putted out, that person goes to the next tee and hits.
- Move off the green promptly when holed out and players are behind you.
- With new players, golf can become frustrating quickly. It is helpful to limit the number of shots in the fairway to 5 then pick up the ball and advance it to the putting green.
- Once there limit the number of putts to 3 then move on to the next hole.
- You can putt with the flagstick in. There is no penalty for hitting the flagstick.
- When a player loses a ball, or for any other reason holds up players behind him, he should motion the players through. (Lost ball searches should be limited to 3 minutes.)
- Slow-playing golfers should let faster-playing golfers go through.
- Players entering the Clubhouse for refreshments after finishing No. 9 forfeit their turning rights to players coming from behind them from No. 9.
- No player shall start on Hole #10 while players are approaching the No. 9 green.
- No ice chests are allowed.
